We don’t need expensive software to make a slide show video. There is free software available on the Internet which allows us to do so.

I like Picasa Web 3, provided free by Google. You may download the application from the following site.

The followings are the instructions to make a slideshow video using Picasa Web 3. (Please click on the image for larger image)

1. Go to the folders where all the slides images are put.

2. Open each image individually and Make a Caption

3. Add in the Caption for every slide

4. Select the slides for the Slide Show. (Hold “Ctrl” and Click on image to select)

5. Go to Pull Down Menu – Create>Movie…

6. This opens the Movie Maker. You can re-arrange the slides here. You would like to remove cover slide generated

7. Remember to select “Show Caption”, select the transition style and Dimensions

8. Go to the “Slide” tag, select the Caption Font, Color and Template

9. Back to “Movie” tag, load Audio Track. Go to the folder where you store the audio track and load it. Could be some music or a recording

10. Click on “Create Movie” and wait for the process to complete (Could take a few minutes)

11. And the slideshow video is made. You would like to export the clip
